Creating the news at work

Internal news must inspire and engage readers.

What?

An intensive half-day workshop on writing interesting and effective print or online news content at work.

Who?

Staff who produce or contribute to print or online communications to update and engage colleagues, customers and constituents.

Why?

So that writers will be able to:

  • use effective planning, writing and editing processes
  • produce communications that achieve their objectives and attract readers
  • craft concise, effective articles
  • employ sound journalistic principles to put the ‘news’ into newsletters, and internet- and intranet-based updates.

They said it...

The training has given me such great tools to work with. I've just finished our latest e-newsletter: I can't remember ever being as proud of any work I've produced.

The course was very helpful to firstly determine which medium we wanted to use to communicate our news to best suit our readers. Secondly Lynne educated us on how to keep the articles catchy, short and precise to get the readers engaged. She tailored the course to our needs and because she had company knowledge, she was able to relate to us and give meaningful suggestions.
